Abstract: Firstly, the author analyzes the cause of the financial crisis formation and the burst of the financial bubble, then taking an overall analysis on the consumer market of Shanghai. Accordingly, the author brings forward some countermeasures and suggestions so as to change the disadvantageous factors into advantageous ones and release the consuming potential, realizing the new growth and development.

Abstract: Confronted with the current economic crisis, the American consumers
have been struggling along with personal debt, crumbling home values, rising
unemployment and so on. Not only the retail sales but also the consumer
confidenc index went down. Consequently, the retailers and the landlords changed
the marketing strategy and adjusted the leasing plan in order to get their
consumers spending again.
